The game works flawlessly with great graphics thus far (I've played mainly campaign and one session involving playing as the special infected). I am actually playing L4D2 on a MacBook using Bootcamp and Windows XP SP3 to take advantage of the graphics card. ![]() It's important that you meet the system requirements for the game- if you can run the game on a 32 bit system, it is probably better, since it takes up less RAM while playing (1GB min. This aspect of gameplay makes for a more interesting set of decisions while going through the levels. Much of the fun is unlocking the achievements on Steam. and without the help of your teammates, you will certainly become incapacitated, and eventually die if not revived in time (again, stay very very close to your teammates). Co-operative play is strongly encouraged, if not essential- there are special infected that have the ability to grab, gorge, charge, spit, slice, or smash you to death. ![]() L4D2 is predominantly played online, where you can play differing modes (campaign, survivor, versus, and scavenge). Depending on what mode you're playing, you can win in different ways (for example, reaching the different safehouses, which completes a stage, and ultimately finishing a campaign by completing the tasks the game requires you to do to signal help or break through to escape). So, about the actual game! L4D2 is mainly a multiplayer game in which you shoot hordes of zombies (called "infected") that come racing to find you and the other three survivors you're traveling with (the other three can either be PC-controlled, other Steam/LAN p layers, or, if you're willing to figure out split screen configs, two player on one PC w/ a Xbox 360 controller plugged in: ). I went back there to play it a second time, and promptly bought a disk to play on Steam at home. My fiance's little brother introduced it to me when we visited an internet cafe, and without realizing it, we spent 4 hours playing the game. I don't play video games much due to work and school, but this game is just ridiculously addicting.
